Services

Wellness Consultation

Dr Sierra will complete a comprehensive head-to-tail inspection of your pets’ general condition and state of health. She will ask you questions about your pet’s behavior, appetite, exercise habits, and regular activities at home. Sometimes, information obtained during a wellness examination can help detect early signs of illness and address health issues before they progress.

If your pet appears to be healthy enough for routine preventive care, Dr Sierra will discuss which vaccinations are advised, as well as parasite prevention including heartworm disease, intestinal parasites, and ectoparasites (fleas, ticks, etc.) as well as options for having your pet microchipped.

Diagnostic Consultation

Dr Sierra has the knowledge and experience needed to diagnose and treat your pet’s illness or injury. An on-site x-ray and diagnostic laboratory will help to diagnose the cause of the illness or injury and decide the best treatment options. Treatments may include a combination of at home care, in hospital treatment, off-site diagnostic testing or referral to a specialist treatment center.

Surgery

Dr Sierra performs a wide variety of surgeries, including spay and neuter, pyometra, bladder stones, and C-sections. During surgery, Dr Sierra and the technicians closely monitor vital signs including heartbeat, oxygen level, and blood pressure. Afterwards, pets awaken in our recovery area where technicians are present during the entire recovery process to ensure patient safety.

Dental Care

Dr Sierra is able to provide teeth cleaning, tooth extractions, and gum disease treatment. Dental health not only helps animals to get proper nutrition, it also prevents certain types of bacteria from traveling into other organs and causing disease.

Urgent & Emergency Care

Dr Sierra consults by appointment which means that walk-ins will not be seen, however if your pet needs emergency care please give us a call and one of our staff will assess the situation and advise a course of action which may include bringing your pet to us, scheduling an appointment, or taking your pet to a 24 hour emergency hospital.

If you call and reach our voicemail please leave a detailed message including your name & phone number, your pets name, and details of what has occurred. If you have not heard back from us within 10 minutes please contact Blue Pearl Animal Hospital or Windcrest Animal Hospital, both of these are 24 hour emergency hospitals and will be able to provide immediate care for you pet.
